This is a real Road Runner that's been rotisserie restored and upgraded with a modern 6.1 liter Hemi engine, 4 wheel disc brakes and more. There's a pistol grip 4-speed sticking out of the console too!
EXTERIOR: The number 1 rule when you paint a car black is- it needs to be straight! This car is laser beam straight. Looking down each side there's not a ripple. The body gaps are flush and square. It is smooth along the bottom, there's no bubbles. The black paint is polished out like a mirror. Upfront the grill, headlight bezels and bumper are show quality. The windshield is replaced and all the stainless trim around it is polished. Door handles and the moldings on top of the doors and around the top opening are restored. In back the taillights and bumper look brand new. It rolls on 18 inch Boss wheels wider, in the back. Nexen performance tires. Door jambs are painted slick, weather strips and window seals have been replaced. New black convertible top in the correct Mopar grain material.
INTERIOR: Completely restored. Very desirable bucket seats with a console. Upgraded modern gauges and a retro digital stereo. Down on the floor is new carpet, new seat belts in front. The seats are reupholstered, new headrests. New door panels including armrests. The metal trim is painted slick. The dash pad and instrument panel has been replaced. New reproduction steering wheel with Road Runner horn button.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The original 383 was upgraded with a modern 6.1 L Hemi power plant topped off with dual Edelbrock carbs. It has an MSD coil driver ignition system, the coil packs are hidden under the intake. It has aluminum heads with some real nice looking valve covers. The wires are run neatly with billet holders. It has a set of coated headers. The front of the motor has a serpentine belt and pulley system, one wire alternator and power steering. It also has a power brake system. The Optima battery is properly bolted down, has new cables. It runs cool with an aluminum radiator and dual electric fans. All new wiring harness. New "beep beep" horn. The engine bay is all nice metal painted gloss black. It has a real nice set of billet hinges.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Rock solid metal. The trunk pan was professionally replaced. The bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are glossy. The well liner, weather strip and trunk mat are new.
UNDERSIDE: It was on a rotisserie so the bottom could be restored as good as the top. Every component was removed, restored or replaced. The front end has been completely rebuilt. It's all fresh components- bushings, ball joints, shocks, steering components etc. The rear suspension is rebuilt. It has lowering blocks, shocks have been replaced. Upgraded Wilwood brake system has disc at all four wheels and stainless braided hoses. It has a new fuel system including the tank, straps, lines and sending unit. Great sounding fat exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and a crossover pipe. Looking up at the motor it is clean. It has a Miloden oil pan and high torque starter. The 4-speed looks fresh. The underbody is immaculate metal, all smooth and clean. It's painted a smooth gloss black.
This is a slick ride. It's a fresh, thorough restoration. Very desirable Road Runner with a Hemi and a 4-speed. Oh yeah, it's a convertible. I forgot to take that into account when I priced it!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.

About Volo Auto Museum
No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum. Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960. We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos. For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion. Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB.
Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful. We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after. Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift. No reasonable request will be turned down.
Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn’t have to be. After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you. We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else’s. Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner. This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own. We invest approximately 00 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn’t sell, we lose, not you. So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
