Linton Bassoon

Description

This Linton Bassoon is a project, and is not in playing condition. Only the body of the bassoon and the case are included, it doesn't have a bocal, crutch or any straps.
Cosmetically it's in decent shape, the bell flare is rough and the tenor joint has seen better days.
I'm a brass player so I have no idea how to diagnose this bassoon, but I'm sure it needs to pads and a generous amount of work on the keys. One large key, pictured last, is broken off from the rest of the instrument, but I have no idea where it's supposed to go.
As for provenance, it was a gift from a friend of a family member who claimed to have played it as a student in college some 20 years ago. I'd assume its sat in its case for most of that time.
