In the late 1970s and early 1980s I worked at a music store that sold records, cassette tapes and car stereos. The store received promotional posters for the artists and products, which they would attach to the walls with tape or staples. When they were finished with the posters, they would discard them in the trash.
I asked if I could have the posters instead. I accumulated approximately 150 of them, including some that never made it to the wall. I took the posters home, rolled them up, and stored them in large boxes. The posters vary in sizes from 11x24 to 48x36. This is my collection of posters that has survived the years
